Privacy Statement
Jurnal Lentera Kesehatan Masyarakat (JLKM) collects and processes personal data only as necessary to operate the journal, manage submissions, conduct peer review, publish scholarly work, communicate with users, maintain security, and meet legal, ethical, indexing, preservation, and reporting obligations.
Data that may be processed include names, email addresses, affiliations, ORCID iDs and other profile information; manuscript and supplementary files; authorship, editorial and peer-review records; correspondence; payment or invoicing records where applicable; and limited technical information such as IP addresses, browser data, cookies, access logs, and usage statistics.
Manuscripts, reviewer identities, review reports, editorial correspondence, and unpublished research information are treated as confidential and are accessible only to authorized editors, reviewers, journal staff, system administrators, and service providers who require access for legitimate journal operations. JLKM applies its stated double-blind peer-review process and will not disclose reviewer identities to authors or the public unless disclosure is required by law or explicitly agreed within an approved transparent-review process.
Personal data will not be sold, rented, or used for unrelated commercial marketing. It may be shared only when necessary with trusted service providers and scholarly infrastructure partners, such as the journal hosting provider, DOI registration agency, indexing and archiving services, plagiarism or integrity-checking services, and payment processors, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection safeguards. Data may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect journal security, or to investigate suspected research or publication misconduct.
JLKM uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal data. Data are retained only for as long as required for the scholarly record, editorial accountability, legal obligations, security, and legitimate journal operations. Published article metadata and the permanent scholarly record may be retained indefinitely. Account holders may request access to or correction of their personal data, subject to legal requirements and the integrity of the editorial and publication record.
Cookies and server logs may be used for authentication, session management, accessibility, security, fraud prevention, and aggregated usage analysis. JLKM uses Statcounter as a third-party website analytics service to measure visits and aggregated website usage. Statcounter may process limited technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, referring pages, cookies, and visit timestamps in accordance with its own privacy practices. Users can control non-essential cookies through their browser settings, although disabling required cookies may affect site functionality.
Questions or requests regarding personal data should be sent to staff@jurnalkesmas.co.id. Requests will be assessed in accordance with applicable law and the journal’s obligations to preserve a reliable scholarly record.
